Tukmenistan Door to Hell

The door to hell located in the Ahal Province  is a modern day marvel it is in fact a natural gas field created by tears in the earths crust. This field has been burning non stop since 1971 , Soviet scientist lit the field on fire to protect the people from going near the harsh and dangerous chemicals. Fueled by the natural gasses constantly rising from the ground it is almost impossible for the fire to be extinguished.
